In this role, you’ll contribute to advancing innovations in pharmaceutical sciences by performing hands-on experiments related to compound characterization and formulation development. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multinational, interdisciplinary, and agile environment, where collaboration and innovation drive transformative results in the field of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independent planning, execution, documentation, and interpretation of a wide range of experiments in compound characterization and formulation development.
  • Conducting analytical investigations such as physicochemical characterization of drug substances and products, including solid-state analyses using techniques such as DSC, TGA, XRPD, and DVS.
  • Performing formulation development activities, such as solution/suspension formulation screening and characterization (e.g., visual assessment, material content, stability).
  • Participating in scale-up experiments and managing supply activities for pre-clinical PK and tox studies
  • Operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining laboratory instruments (e.g., HPLC, DSC, XRPD) and infrastructure.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols, especially in handling chemicals, and managing potentially hazardous materials and equipment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certified Laboratory Technician or University graduate with equivalent technical/academic training (e.g., BSc/MSc in Formulation Sciences, Analytics, Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, or Material Sciences).
  • Proven experience in small-scale material handling is essential.
  • Direct work experience in fields like formulation, analytical chemistry, or material science is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques (HPLC/UPLC) and powder characterization analytics (DSC, TGA, XRPD, DVS).
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory tools, procedures, and methods commonly used in pharmaceutical or chemical R&D.
  • Hands-on experience in HPLC method development and stability testing is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with data and digital tools is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a highly dynamic environment, embracing an agile and flexible mindset.
  • Strong sense of urgency and an ability to keep customer focus front and center in all deliverables.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
