Senior Data Analyst, Content enablement

The Content Enablement Team vision is to enable, by 2025, a seamless ecosystem which makes finding, creating, managing, and publishing content a competitive advantage for Novartis.
This is to be achieved via three core objectives:
• Building the Next Generation FUSE by creating an efficient content journey with a simplified process and improving speed to market.
• Enabling reusability of content across Novartis.
• Empowering Novartis associates and partners to focus on innovating impactful experiences for external customers.

The Senior Data Analyst works with Content Enablement business & IT stakeholders and play a critical strategic role that combines analytical expertise with business acumen to drive data-driven decision-making and product development and performance. The primary responsibility will be to identify and analyze large datasets, extract valuable insights, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize the product's features, functionalities, and user experience. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, marketing and partners to provide insights that influence the direction of our product and ensure they meet customer needs and business objectives.

Major Activities
1. Data Analysis & Insights:
o Conduct deep-dive analyses of product performance, user behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
o Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports to monitor objectives and key results (OKRs) and product metrics.
o Perform A/B testing and other experimental designs to evaluate product changes and new features.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Collaborate with product managers and owners to define data requirements and translate business questions into analytical projects.
o Work with engineering teams to ensure accurate data collection and integration.
o Partner with teams to understand market dynamics and customer feedback.
3. Strategic Planning & Execution:
o Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis to guide product development and roadmap planning.
o Assist in the prioritization of product features and enhancements based on data-driven insights.
o Support go-to-market strategies with data insights to optimize product launches and market positioning.
4. Advanced Analytics & Modeling:
o Utilize advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to develop predictive models and algorithms.
o Analyze customer segmentation by persona & value.
5. Data Governance & Quality:
o Ensure data integrity and accuracy by establishing and enforcing data governance practices.
o Perform regular audits and validation of data sources to maintain high-quality standards.
6. Mentorship & Leadership:
o Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing technical and professional development support.
o Lead cross-functional data initiatives and champion the use of data in decision-making across the organization.

Education and experience
Minimum: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline preferred

Experience/skills required: 
1. 10+ year of proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in a product-focused environment.
2. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets using statistical techniques and data visualization tools.
3. Strong development experience, including customizations, data transformations through scripting in Qlik Sense.
4. Extensive working experience in developing interactive dashboards in Qlik Sense, fetching data from multiple sources.
5. Capable of managing the development (end-end) lifecycle of Qlik Sense applications.
6. Familiarity with prototyping and experimentation frameworks.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify actionable insights from data.
9. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
10. Have a discovery and growth mindset.
11. Familiarity with JIRA and Agile ways of working.
12. Commitment to lead on Novartis defined values & behaviors.

Location: East Hanover, NJ (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $94-$120/hour
Contract: 12 months
