The Financial Controls & Compliance Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controls & Compliance Manager in ensuring compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Financial Controls Manual (FCM) and SOX 404 requirements.
To support the business within a country with complex analysis, reporting, forecasts etc. (typically very large to large revenue) and provide expert advice within a core FRA process/ area/ technology. This role is critical to establish compliance environment in the units.

Your Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Financial Controls Manual (FCM) and SOX 404 requirements
• Support SOX 404 attestation processes
• Understand business processes; review process documentation and have a good understanding of key risks and mitigating controls.
• Ensure understanding of the standard processes and controls related requirements, Internal & external audits.
• Provide deliverables according to NFCM schedule on establishing and maintaining an adequate control environment.
• Report on the adequacy of financial controls, including documentation, testing and remediation and track status in case of remediation / gaps.
• Recommend and support implementation of control improvements where needed.
• Assess change impacts, including new technologies, business processes changes and whether control changes are needed.
• Support implementation of controls in front of changes in the organization, understand risk involved to ensure proper controls are in place.
• Liaise with partners regarding financial controls and compliance related matters.

What you’ll bring to the role:
• University Degree in Economics or Business Administration (or equivalent), specializing in Finance/Accounting/Auditing
• At least 5 years’ experience in compliance, internal and/or external audit (preferable Big 4 audit firm) focusing on finance audits, SOX audits and compliance
• English (written and spoken)
• German (preferable)
• SAP ERP knowledge
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to influence
• High integrity
• Independent and ability to challenge status quo
• Operational Decision Making – possess strong decision-making skills.
• Highly customer oriented
• Team player

Workload: 40 hours/week
Role type: 2 days per week home office. 3 days on site. 5 days on site preferred.
