Director Innovation Lab, Marketing Intelligence and Growth

The Director Innovation Lab, Marketing Intelligence and Growth sits within the US Innovation Lab (iLab), a part of the Marketing Technology Product Management team. In this role, you will join a highly innovative and intrapreneurial group focused on accelerating innovation to create customer-centric solutions that deliver impact. With a deep passion for innovation, you will serve as an iLab resident SME for gathering, understanding, and interpreting external market trends and opportunities around new and emerging technologies and identifying accompanying business opportunities through sound interpretation of actionable insights leading to meaningful business impact potential through hypothesis validation. You will enable innovation acceleration and standardize robust business processes buoyed by sound decision intelligence across our prioritized emerging technologies verticals aligned to our Innovation Model and Framework.

The Director Innovation Lab, Marketing Intelligence and Growth will be accountable to support the discovery and prioritization of new opportunities by integrating market research, emerging technology trends, and actionable insights. You will partner with iLab leaders to validate high-impact use cases across our innovation verticals, leveraging both external insights and internal data to accelerate innovation pursuits. You will collaborate with stakeholders to build robust business cases, provide business impact potential assessments across the progression of ideas from concept to MVP, and ensure appropriate measurable outcomes, including hypotheses validation, and enhanced user value. Additionally, you will work with stakeholders to oversee the innovation portfolio, standardize data and reporting practices, and deliver actionable intelligence to support executive decision-making and continuous improvement.

You will possess strong marketing expertise as well as innovation and new and emerging tech, provide strong connectedness with our internal customers and other key stakeholders, as well as our external partners to realize business objectives. You will partner with other iLab leaders to lead change management, business transformation, Innovation acceleration through data science and platform enablement. You will use your demonstrated presentation creation and communication skills, both written and oral, to educate and nurture innovation competencies in landscape and horizon scanning, and analytics and insights to achieve measurable business impact.

Responsibilities:
• Enable the discovery and prioritization of new opportunities by integrating market research, emerging technology trends, and actionable insights
• Lead the evaluation, DVF, landscape and horizon scanning, external market and internal readiness, and business impact potential assessment for innovation pursuits in emerging technologies including GenAI and XR and supporting solutions to address business challenges and unlock new growth opportunities.
• Support the development and maintenance of a robust innovation pipeline and portfolio, leveraging our idea management platform to capture, prioritize, and track progress to deliver strong business impact.
• Design and deliver real-time dashboards, data & insights on innovation execution, programs and projects, as appropriate, to provide actionable insights, highlight key performance indicators (KPIs), and enable and empower decision intelligence through data-driven decision-making.
• Work with key stakeholders to establish and/or ensure adhere to internal data governance standards across external partners, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance across all innovation programs, projects and reporting systems.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation, encouraging teams to challenge the status quo and share learnings from both successes and failures that lead to stronger use case development and accelerates impactful solutioning.
• Lead effective cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders and teams including risk management, marketing stakeholders, DDIT, MarTech, IDS, and external partners.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing, innovation, start-ups, business operations, tech, or related fields
• Minimum 5 years digital marketing, marketing technology and/or marketing platform management
• Minimum 3 years managing, analyzing, and interpreting external marketing and innovation trends including hypotheses building and outcomes to help create actional insights that guide strategy and business decisions
• Demonstrated passion for innovation with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, and the ability to translate data and trends into actionable business recommendations
• Ability to work in ambiguity and enjoy the challenge of quick starts, abrupt reprioritization
• Demonstrated ability to lead without authority, influence all levels of organization toward a defined common objective
• Experience as part of an effective innovation lab, mar-tech, start up, or technology organization or implementation partner, driving performance and enabling effective customer engagement and marketing activities
• Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance privacy and legal guardrails and policies
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, with a comfort in the ambiguous, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
• Deep understanding of emerging technologies, digital transformation, and their application in marketing and business growth contexts.
• Advanced proficiency in data visualization, analytics platforms, and innovation management tools
• Excellent PowerPoint, Word skills, proficient with Excel and other Microsoft and business applications
• Act as a change agent, with relevant experience in transforming the businesses through collaboration and partnership
• Experience working in or with Innovation Labs, or multi-functional experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries preferred

Location: East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $100 - $110/hr based on experience and qualifications (W2 Only)
Contract: 12-month
