Media Manager / Assistant Editor

Novartis is seeking a Media Manager / Assistant Editor to support our internal Video Production Center of Excellence (CoE). This role sits at the intersection of production and post, ensuring that media from shoots is efficiently ingested, organized, and delivered to editorial teams.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is highly organized, and can step into light editing tasks when needed.

Details 
Manage media from shoots, including ingest, logging, organization, and storage 
Ensure all media is properly structured, labeled, and accessible for post-production teams 
Maintain and organize projects within Frame.io, ensuring clarity and easy navigation 
Manage and maintain proxy workflows for efficient remote and collaborative editing 
Troubleshoot media issues and ensure rapid turnaround for editorial needs 
Oversee and manage the existing OHS media archive 
Lead efforts to migrate media assets into Novartis systems and infrastructure 
Ensure data integrity, organization, and accessibility throughout migration 
Quickly locate and deliver requested footage to editors and producers 
Create stringouts and selects for internal and stakeholder review 
Support editorial teams by preparing project files and media packages 
Perform basic, time-sensitive edits as needed 
Create simple 2D graphics and titles for internal or quick-turn content 
Assist editors with overflow work to keep timelines on track

Requirements:
~3+ years of experience in media management, assistant editing, or post-production support 
Strong understanding of video file formats, codecs, and media workflows 
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar NLE); After Effects/basic motion a plus 
Familiarity with Frame.io or similar media review platforms 
Experience managing large volumes of media and organizing projects across teams 
Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly under tight deadlines 
Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
Initial 6-month contract (with potential for extension based on business needs)

Location: East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days/wk)
Pay Rate: $60-$65/hour W-2 Only (based on Education/Experience) 
Contract: 6-month (possible extension)
Health, dental, vision, 401k (provided minimum eligibility hours are met)
