Role Purpose
We are seeking senior experienced Change Specialist leader to support end-to-end change initiatives that transform Novartis trial oversight and enable the successful adoption of central monitoring, adaptive monitoring and innovative quality management approaches across Novartis Development.
Accountabilities:
• Lead end-to-end change management for central monitoring, adaptive monitoring, and trial monitoring modernization globally.
• Translate strategic objectives for central and adaptive monitoring into clear change plans that support consistent adoption across functions and studies.
• Serve as a change thought leader, advising programs and leaders on best practices for implementing complex, cross-functional change.
• Design and execute comprehensive change management plans spanning assessment, design, implementation, and sustainability.
• Conduct stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, and change readiness evaluations to tailor strategies by function, region, and role.
• Integrate change management activities with program timelines, operational milestones, and governance structures.
• Lead and/or oversee change networks (e.g., champions, super users, functional leads) to support disease unit, Hub, and country Hub implementation of central and adaptive monitoring.
• Identify adoption risks early and implement mitigation actions to address resistance, capability gaps, or misalignment.
• Measure change effectiveness using defined qualitative and quantitative indicators (e.g., adoption metrics, feedback, behavioral indicators).
• Develop and execute targeted communication strategies that articulate the “why,” “what,” and “how” of central monitoring, adaptive monitoring, and risk-based quality management.
• Partner with training and capability teams to ensure role-based enablement supports sustainable change.
• Provide executive-ready insights and updates on change progress, risks, and outcomes.

Required Experience:
• 8–10 years of demonstrated change management experience, leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in regulated or matrixed environments.
• Ideally a post-graduate degree in business, psychology, change management, communications or similar.
• Proven ability to lead enterprise-scale change involving multiple stakeholders, business units, and geographies.
• Strong expertise in structured change methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter, or equivalent).
• Experience supporting operational, quality, or transformation initiatives where new ways of working and adoption are critical.
• Pharmaceuticals experience, especially Global Drug Development/ Clinical Operations experience a distinct advantage.
• Willingness to align to Novartis change management framework.
• Excellent written verbal communication.
• Excellent general business acumen.
• Languages: Native/ fluent English.
Desirable experience:
• Experienced team leader with proven ability to manage diverse cross-functional business, consulting and system integrator teams, including virtual team members.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and governance forums in complex organizations.
