Supply Chain Warehouse Operations Manager - Indianapolis, IN

Job Purpose:
Responsible for Radioligand Therapies (RLT) Supply Chain Warehousing and Distribution (W&D). Supports the Supply Chain Management Head in defining, implementing, and managing warehouse operations. Ensures the correct application of policies and procedures related to warehouse management and distribution operations, including DOT and IATA requirements, at the Indianapolis RLT site, and ensures compliance with global standards and local regulations.
Optimizes end-to-end efficiency of shipping and receiving processes in terms of time, cost, and drives synergies among suppliers to improve performance. Monitors logistics provider performance through the definition, implementation, and analysis of KPIs, identifying operational improvements (quantitative and qualitative).
Leads W&D projects, future bids, and improvement action plans, including submission and management of the W&D budget process.


Major Accountabilities:
Accountable for staffing plans, strategic/succession planning for human capital, and performance management.
Implement and Manage Novartis Operations W&D strategy.
Drives continuous improvement by deploying and maintaining the standard W&D scorecard to measure operational performance. Leads root-cause analysis and corrective action planning when KPIs are out of range and actively manage MBRs and QBRs to evaluate vendors and drive performance improvement plans.
Owns and oversees the inbound receiving of finished-good packaging, and outbound shipping processes, ensuring activities are executed in compliance with GMP requirements. Defines and controls standard warehouse operations (including inventory movements, ERP transactions, and related controls), and ensures accurate, timely completion through established procedures and monitoring.
Ensure the timely reception of goods into the warehouses and expedite the receipt of the goods for prompt availability for Production as per business needs.
Ensure warehouse operations comply with Quality Assurance, Financial Control & Compliance (FC&C), HSE, and Security guidelines. Facilitates audits and provides requested information. Supports the 3PL and Transportation Companies in developing and implementing corrective action plans.
Act as a single point of contact for the local organization in all Warehouse Operations and 3PL related matters, to provide clear visibility to internal & external customers of the status of the incoming orders, inventory management, and shipments from the warehouse. Performs all duties associated with warehouse operations in support of manufacturing and quality control.
Collaborate with Production and QA to improve shipping process through document and storage controls
Ensures the development of talent by establishing clear role expectations and development plans, providing regular coaching and performance feedback, identifying training needs, and supporting succession planning and career growth within the team.
Build and lead a high performing organization to support Receiving, Kitting and Shipping activities across a 24/7- operation.
Constantly seek and implement warehouse process improvement.
Responsible for Product Inventory accuracy, including 3rd parties. 
Network regionally in US and globally to identify and drive standardization opportunities that improve operations and ensure harmonization and alignment between sites. Identifies gaps and inefficiencies and leads continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop digital strategy and implementation plan to foster continuous improvement in Supply Chain Warehousing Operations.
Collaborate with Commercial teams to align supply chain activities with market demands.
Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and mitigate risks associated with supply disruptions.
Supports Platform Projects and RLT network expansion plan as needed.
Coordinate with training team to develop new associate qualification programs and training curriculums.
Partners with Production, Purchasing, Facilities, and other stakeholders to streamline the procurement and availability of laboratory and manufacturing supplies and materials. Partners with Quality Assurance as needed to support deviation investigations and contribute to quality continuous improvement initiatives.
Leverages computer systems to reconcile and track materials, including MS Dynamics 365 and carrier platforms.
Provides exemplary customer service to other departments.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal (FDA, TSA, EPA, IATA, DOT, OSHA), State and local regulations. Ensure and monitor adherence to all company policies and procedures relating to current Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and Health, Safety and Environmental Practice.
Manage deviations, quality events, and other Compliance related activities. Target zero overdue deviations.
Accountable and responsible for providing audit support and remediation of audit findings.
Interact with regulators and outside stakeholders on business issues or in support of internal and external agency audits.
Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
Effectively manage 3rd Party Logistic inventory and account relationships. Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems, evaluating, and recommending new equipment. Works with Materials Planning and Supply Chain Head to build short and long-term capacity models.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or International Commerce
Fluent in speaking / writing in English.    
At least 5 years' experience in logistics, customer service operations, warehouse and distribution management, and transportation within the pharmaceutical industry; RLT experience is a plus.  
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficient in M365 package and computer skills
Excellent Customer Service Skills: displays a professional can- do attitude
Knowledge of procurement/Inventory management systems and procedures
Ability to perform duties with the highest regard for safety, quality, and site protocols/policies/procedures
Must be able to work in flexible schedule, as this role will be direct responsibility across a 7-day per week operation
Cross Referencing skills
Must be exceedingly flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently
Training and coaching for new associates.

Location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite - must be flexible to work 7 days/week) 
Pay Rate: $55-$64.90/hour (W2 Only - based on Education and Experience)
Contract: 15-month
