2026 Summer Intern - Decision Science, Insights & Analytics 
The Insights and Decision Science (IDS) team is dedicated to enabling improved decision making at Novartis by leveraging data and advanced analytics capabilities to generate actionable insights that drive business growth. We collaborate closely with the US business, bringing insights and challenging ideas to empower smarter, data-driven decision-making.

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Undergraduate or Graduate Summer Intern to join our Decision Science team, supporting data analytics and business planning initiatives across products, TAs, and the Novartis US Commercial Portfolio. This internship provides the opportunity to work on real-world projects that help our patients, enhance decision-making and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with the Insights and Decision Science team to support ongoing projects across products
• Support business planning and orchestration activities by helping develop communications for Decision Science team and other senior US Commercial stakeholders
• Assist with activities associated with ongoing data and analytical projects on brands across 5 therapeutic areas, helping craft narratives based on analyses conducted
• Participate in ongoing project team meetings, including slide preparation for insights updates and business planning activities
• Be exposed to various other functions within the larger US Commercial organizations
• Ideate on ways to embed technology and AI to drive productivity in daily Decision Science and product insights team work
 

Required Qualifications:
Entering Junior/3rd-Year level or Senior/4th-Year of college or enrolled in a graduate degree program, graduating in December 2026, 2027 or 2028
• Academic focus on engineering, data science, math, business, economics, or related field
• Interest in pharmaceutical field and providing insights and analytics to inform strategy decisions
• Highly curious and motivated and can work independently on one or multiple projects under general direction
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish and foster collaboration and partnership internally and externally
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including experience presenting in front of multidisciplinary audiences, and attending team meetings face to face and remotely
• Interest in AI and advances in technology
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
• Basic understanding of US healthcare system
• A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is required

Preferred:
• Experience with Copilot & GenAI-related technologies for enhancing data analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis
• Experience working with large datasets and various data sources (Excel, SQL databases, APIs, etc.)
• Excitement to work in a fast-paced and action-oriented environment
• Previous experience working in an analytics function of a company
• Basic understanding of finance

Location: East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid - 3 times/week)
Pay Rate: (W2 Only - based on Education and Experience)
Rising Sophomore / Junior $24.00/hour
Rising Senior $26.00/hour
Masters     $35.00/hour
PharmD/PhD/MD/JD     $40.00/hour
MBA  $43.00/hour
Contract: 2-month
