Summer External Student Worker -Pilot Plant (EHPP) serves to advance the Cell & Gene pipeline
East Hanover Pilot Plant (EHPP) serves to advance the Cell & Gene pipeline by supplying clinical Phase I and Phase II products for multiple clinical trials globally.
The candidate will join the East Hanover Pilot Plant site and work closely with Production and Operational Excellence to gain exposure and experience in a GMP environment. Areas of responsibilities will include (but not limited to) Production, Operational Excellence, Warehouse, Quality Control and Engineering. The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated team player who has a thirst for knowledge and is driven to achieve goals and milestones.
Responsibilities
• Observe and evaluate areas to improve process and operational efficiency for Grade C activities. Present improvement plan at end of internship
• Gain and understand the meaning and purpose of GMP by working closely with Production personnel on Grade C activities
• Assist production team members in restocking activities, ie, PPEs, gowning materials and raw materials
• Handling of materials at room temperature, 2-8C, -20C, -75C and Liquid Nitrogen using appropriate PPE
• Authorship/revision of various documents such as User Requirement Specification (URS), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Work Procedure (WP), etc.
Minimum Requirements
• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a US accredited degree-granting college or university pursuing an undergraduate degree.
• Possesses the interpersonal skills to assist end-users
• Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and to work in a diverse and changing environment
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
• Good organizational skills
Location: East Hanover, NJ (100% onsite)
Pay Rate: $22 - $24/hr based on education level
Contract: 06/09/2025 - End date will be 8/22/2025
