As a Senior UX Researcher, you will lead entire projects, working closely with a UX Research Director. You'll be at the forefront of UX Research activities, receiving mentorship from design leaders and coaching Associate UX Researchers. Your expertise in UX processes and tools will be crucial in presenting broad, systemic ideas to peers, leaders, and stakeholders.
What You'll Do
• Conduct UX Research: Focus on external-facing digital products for healthcare providers and patients, and internal digital products for various commercial stakeholders.
• Evolve the UXR process: Utilize AI tools to speed up tasks and improve the quality of outputs, ensuring efficient and effective research processes.
• Pre-Test Activities: Collaborate with stakeholders to generate test plans, submit tests for review, communicate with User Testing for recruiting needs, guide prototype creation, and design and implement screeners and mixed methods tests.
• Post-Test Activities: Launch and monitor tests, report completed tests, interview subjects, synthesize data, and deliver test result presentations.
• Manage a UX Research Repository: Contribute findings to the product organization and to an evolving human-centered design system in a searchable archive.
• Facilitate Workshops: Lead cross-disciplinary Design Thinking workshops across diverse problem contexts.
• Maintain Vendor Relationships: Keep track of product advancements, credits, feedback, integrations, and training with User Testing.
What We're Looking For
• User Testing, Research, and Analysis: Identify user needs, distill insights into actionable goals, engage users to reveal pain points, and analyze data to support usability.
• Empathy and Observation: Listen actively, draw deep insights from conversations and feedback, and observe implicit factors to uncover motivations and beliefs.
• Critical Thinking and Decision Making: Break down problems, prioritize high-value ideas, ask relevant questions, and generate and evaluate multiple ideas to deliver optimal insights and recommendations.
Required Skills and Experience
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience with 5+ years of related work experience.
Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrated knowledge of UX Research platforms like User Zoom or User Testing, and strong familiarity with UX Design tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with, and eagerness to utilize AI tools to streamline tasks and elevate the quality and reach of UX Research. Familiarity with MS and Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) product suites.
• Methodological Expertise: Understanding of foundational, generative, evaluative, and summative UX Research methods using qualitative and quantitative analysis, understanding behaviors and attitudes of subjects in natural and scripted settings.
• Agile Process Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies and Innovation processes
Location: East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid -3 Days onsite )
Pay Rate: $70 - $78/hour based on experience and qualifications (W2 Only)
Contract: 11 months
