Temp support role for someone with a background or interest in scientific education and/or training, and who has skills in creating new workflows, tracking metrics, and managing internship applications for two of our programs; the Summer of Science, a 10-week immersive research experience for college students, and the Postbaccalaureate Internship, a two-year intensive training program for recent college graduates who are interested in pursuing biomedical research careers. The contractor will work closely with the Internship Program Manager and team head to help implement changes to the Summer of Science and Postbaccalaureate Internship programs, including:
• Developing additional tracking metrics for internship participants
• Utilization of program management software to track budgetary and program management milestones
• Assisting with the recruitment, selection, and orientation of participants
• Providing administrative and logistical support for current programs
• Creating and maintaining databases and/or dashboards to monitor and evaluate the outcomes and impact of the programs
• Conducting research and analysis on best practices and trends in scientific education and training and/or competitive intelligence
• If there is bandwidth, potential opportunities to also assist the Postdoc and CELL (Community Exploration Learning Lab) Program Managers with administrative support for their programs


To be eligible for this role, you must:
• Have demonstrated experience within the past 2 years in program and/or project management and/or a recent graduate with a M.S. degree in a biomedical or related field (major or minor in a biological science) and a strong interest in program and/or project management
• Have a strong interest in scientific education and training, and a desire to learn more about the biomedical research and education landscape
• Have experience or skills in creating new workflows, tracking metrics, and managing internship applications, or a willingness to learn and apply these skills
• Have excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Be well versed in Microsoft Office suite programs (Microsoft Project, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) -with significant experience with MS Project preferred
• Be able to work independently and collaboratively, and take initiative and ownership of tasks and projects
• Be able to commit to a 8-month contract position, starting in February/March 2025, for up to 37.5 hours/week

Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $20 - $21/hour based on experience and qualifications (W2 Only)
Contract: 9 months
