Providing customers with advice regarding the Novartis product portfolio and services through digital and in-person channels, while considering the needs of healthcare professionals, in order to expand scientific knowledge, increase disease awareness, and ultimately improve patient care and treatment outcomes.
Advising customers on the Novartis product portfolio and services using digital and analog channels, while taking into account the needs of healthcare professionals, in order to expand scientific knowledge, raise disease awareness, and ultimately improve patient care and treatment outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Advises and informs customers regarding the Novartis product portfolio and services by providing current, relevant, and approved data and key messages to the right customer, at the right time, through the right channel, in order to support customer decision-making and ethically optimize therapy outcomes.
- Applies communication skills in customer interactions and adapts messages and channels in a customer- and patient-oriented manner in order to best meet customer needs and optimize the customer experience.
- Regularly analyzes all available data sources and information, continuously documents customer insights in the relevant data systems, in order to better personalize content/messages for customers.
- Understands and uses omnichannel customer engagement, effectively and efficiently applying individual customer preferences in order to maximize impact on patients, customers, and the company.
- Is responsible for territory and center management and uses all available data sources to create, dynamically prioritize, and adapt relevant territory, account, and customer contact plans.
- Implements customer interaction concepts in cross-functional coordination with the involved Sales, Medical, and Key Account Management teams.
- Continuously shares insights gained from customers in order to support the development of product- and indication-related content, campaigns, and interaction plans. Works closely with geographical and/or cross-functional teams to maximize Novartis’s impact with customers.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the industry, therapeutic areas, prescribing information, current studies, competitors, and market conditions, and focuses efforts on the most important customer opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in natural sciences or qualification as a certified pharmaceutical sales representative, PTA (pharmaceutical technical assistant), MTA (medical technical assistant), BTA (biological technical assistant), or CTA (chemical technical assistant).
- Qualification in accordance with Section 75 of the German Medicines Act (Arzneimittelgesetz).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Resilience.
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning.
- Experience in managing customers and accounts, including the use of communication and negotiation skills (customer- and patient-oriented communication).
- Understanding of business insights and data (including technical platforms, analytics, and structured thinking) to improve patient benefit.
- Ability to manage customer experiences and collaborate cross-functionally (internally/externally).
- Knowledge of omnichannel customer engagement (including platform knowledge).
- Independent and goal-oriented way of working.
- Very good written and spoken German, as well as written and spoken English skills.
Workload: 40 hours/week
Travel time: within the designated region
Required start date: 1 July 2026
Contract: 10 months
