Overview of tasks

3rd Party Contracts / PO Management (PHAG and NPC): (55%):

Process owner for various tasks on R&D 3rd party contracts / PO Management including:

• Accrual management (Linear accruals and cash out)
• GRIR checks
• PO amendments / migrations / closures
• Update of R&D WBS masterdata
• Performing related financial controls
• Process Improvements and ad hoc queries

Clinical Trial Refund Process (25%):

• Processing monthly Clinical Trial Refund between countries and Pharma AG entity
• Intercompany invoice handling (includes follow up in case of technical issues)
• Intercompany PO management
• Update of the trial budget per country per study (TCF: Trial Commitment Form)
• Checks on GRIR differences
• PO closures / study close out

IFRS 16- Lease SPOC (5%):

Acting as R&D SPOC for IFRS 16 lease reporting ensuring complete and accurate accounting and reporting of all lease related contracts within area of responsibility

Month End Reporting (15%):

• Monthly Balance Sheet Review for Biomedical Research (includes analysis and commenting on significant month-on- month variances).
• Monthly FCRS Review (Novartis reporting tool) for Friedrich Miescher Institute (FMI) ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting in FCRS reporting tool.

Tools:

Eshop SRM, SAP FI/ MM, Excel, Optimus (TCF management), Sonar, FCRS

Skills required:

• 3+ years experience in Financial Reporting and Accounting (FRA), University (Finance) degree desirable
• Strong collaboration skills to liaise closely with cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience in collaboration with Auditors and Financial controls
• Extensive knowledge in SAP and Excel
• English is required; German is a plus
• Willigness to work in a hybrid model - 3 days per week onsite
